This month, Willar joined the EXTENDED consortium partners gathered for a 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗢𝗻-𝗦𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 at Flanders Make in Lommel, Belgium.
Held on 8–9 June, the meeting brought project partners together for two days of technical discussions, laboratory activities, and planning around 𝗯𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺𝘀, 𝗕𝗠𝗦 𝗺𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗹𝗲𝘀, 𝘁𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗳𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗱𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗽𝘀.
Given the highly technical and hands-on nature of the workshop, part of the discussions took place directly in the laboratory. This gave partners the opportunity to address key practical aspects of the test setup, equipment, instrumentation, commissioning activities, and measurement/logging parameters.

The programme included technical presentations on cell and battery characteristics, the Master BMS, and Slave BMS modules, with contributions from Flanders Make, Fraunhofer IISB, Commissariat a l’Energie Atomique et aux Energies Alternatives, and Lumency. Partners also discussed test planning, first measurements, signal processing and analysis, and the next steps for the testing phase. In addition, a dedicated communication and dissemination session, coordinated by INOVA+ and TechConcepts B.V., complemented the technical agenda by focusing on internal partnerships, project progress, and results.
The meeting was an important opportunity to align technical requirements, strengthen collaboration across the consortium, and 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝘂𝗲𝗱 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗘𝗫𝗧𝗘𝗡𝗗𝗘𝗗 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁.
Thank you to Bart Aerts and Xavier Lauwerys (Flanders Make) for hosting the meeting and to all partners for their active contributions.
