The eWAVE consortium convened on 14–15 October 2025 at Damen Shipyards in Gorinchem (NL) for the project’s General Assembly meeting, generously hosted by Damen. The meeting brought together partners from across Europe to review progress, align on key technical milestones, and reinforce the shared mission of developing next‑generation high‑voltage modular battery and distribution systems for sustainable waterborne transport.
Across the two days, partners presented updates from all work packages and celebrated major achievements — including the Market Needs & Regulation Report (D2.1) and the Requirements Architecture (D2.2). In addition, upcoming deliverables such as the Specifications of the Battery System (D3.1) were discussed, outlining the direction for continued technology development. A special moment was the presentation by sister project HARPOONERS, offering valuable technical insights and strengthening synergies within the wider maritime innovation community.
A highlight of the event was a guided tour through Damen’s Lighthouse Experience Centre, an interactive environment showcasing advanced shipbuilding innovations and giving the consortium an inspiring view of future maritime technologies. TechConcepts actively contributed throughout the meeting, supporting communication and impact activities and recording new video material that highlights the progress, energy, and teamwork within the eWAVE project.
The meeting reaffirmed the consortium’s commitment to enabling zero‑emission, battery‑powered vessels through high-voltage innovation, modular design, and robust system integration. A big thank‑you goes to Damen Shipyards for hosting an inspiring and productive event — and to all partners for their dedication and collaboration.
